As a singer songwriter Mick's talents were spotted by the aclaimed multi-talented Phil Beer of BBC award winning band "Show of Hands" who played and produced on Mick's debut album "Listen" Phil is very highly regarded in the UK.
Mick now performs with talented guitarist Jim Howden and vocalist and percussionist Kathy Jenkins.
A new album of songs is in the making.
Mick has now loaded songs from his "Listen" album with "Tuneflow" and hoping that the songs will strike a chord. The songs are not easily dropped into a genre description.
His first tounament entry in December 2006 'Early morning blues" resulted in a win. Since then four more wins have followed with "Easy on the eyes" and "Most of the time". Then came "Movin' On" and most recently "11.59" This latest title will be renamed "One minute to midnight". Mick who has also had a couple of seconds with "All the pretty girls" and Shattered Heart in the November and Deceember well contested categories. A semi finalist in the UK songwriting competition with his CD title track "Listen" did wonders for his confidence. Mick loves to write songs in a host of different genres. More entries are to follow.
Mick plays guitar in the main but is often called upon to play harmonica and has guested on several recordings culminating in an appearance with "Show of Hands" at London's Royal Albert Hall.
After a break from the tuneflow tournament the comeback song for May 2008 was "Its not enough anymore" Mick was delighted to record his sixth win.
